    Why ULV

I did not know any information about La Verne or even where it was.
I applied but I thought I would be attending a UC.

I didn’t know anything about La Verne at first, but during spring break, I took a campus tour. My tour guide showed me how welcoming the small community is and how students are seen as people, not numbers. After that visit, I knew La Verne was the place where I could grow both personally and academically.

Favorite Event or Tradition at the University

My favorite event is Homecoming Week/Weekend. It’s a fun time where everyone comes together and celebrates our school spirit. I love seeing alumni return and connecting with current students.

Favorite Place to Hang Out on Campus

My favorite spot on campus is the Ludwick Center. The third floor has an amazing view of the mountains.

What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming student?

Put yourself out there, even if it feels scary at first. It will make your college experience so much more fun and rewarding. Also, connect with alumni — they love to help students with internships and advice.
