Why ULV
I chose La Verne because I felt so connected to the community, loved the beautiful campus, and received a generous scholarship. Many of my most influential teachers were ULV alumni and only had good things to say. I knew I wanted a college with strong community relationships, and La Verne felt like home.
Favorite Event or Tradition at the University
My favorite tradition is Homecoming. I love seeing the university and community come together, and representing my student organizations at the fair and parade fills me with pride. It’s also great to meet alumni and network with them.
Favorite Place to Hang Out on Campus
I love the tables in front of Barbara’s Cafe outside the Abraham Campus Center. It’s the perfect spot to study, enjoy a coffee with friends, and soak in the beautiful Southern California weather. It’s also a place where I feel the strong sense of community that makes La Verne feel like home.
What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming student?
Get involved! There are so many student organizations, clubs, and opportunities to meet people and try new things. The more you put into your college experience, the more you’ll get out of it.
